Meet our Professional Team...

Clara - Owner

Clara is a second generation salon owner with extensive training abroad. She believes in continuous top in-salon education as well as using the best products the industry offers. Clara is truly dedicated to her trade and has operated several successful locations in the Northwest suburbs. Her main objective is to strive for excellence and motivate her staff to provide the best personalized service to their extensive clientele. When you come to International Hair Designs you can be assured that you will be serviced by an experienced and professionally up to date salon staff. International Hair Designs has been servicing the are since 1979 and is proud to have many clients who along with their families continue to patronize the salon for many years.

MEET OUR STYLISTS

Our stylists are highly skilled in all phases of the hair industry from classic to trendy looks, up dated foiling techniques, custom and corrective color, texture perms, hair relaxers and hair extensions. In order to keep our stylists current with the latest trends we offer advanced in-salon education with top and world known artists at least four times a year. Education and excellent customer service is a priority at our salon!

Level 3 - Master Stylists

Dawn

Dawn is a talented, creative stylist and has offered her services at International Hair designs since 1986. She is a member of the AMERICAN BOARD OF CERTIFIED HAIR COLORISTS, listed on Hairstyle Magazine and on www.haircolorist.com. Dawn's specialty is curly and fine hair and particularly enjoys creating custom color for her clients to enhance their look, as a highly skilled colorist she also specializes in corrective color. Dawn has trained with renowed educators like Sam Villa, DJ Moran and John Yurkew.

Chris

Chris is an innovative stylist and has worked at International Hair Designs since 1991. She has taken extensive training at the New York Redken Exchange and is REDKEN COLOR CERTIFIED. Her specialty is creative cutting and re-texturizing, she completed a special training with the KERATIN COMPLEX by Coppola and received her certification. She has also trained with Vidal Sasson, Grund and Goldwell.

Level 2 - Sr. Stylists

Stacy

Stacy has been trained in Europe and owned and operated a hair salon in Chicago. She has been with our salon for over 25 years. Her styling skills extend from classic to contemporary. She enjoys perming, wet sets and is an expert in coloring and foiling techniques. Stacey has trained with top educators and attends many shows and seminars, she is also fluent in Greek.

Chrissy

Chrissy has served at the salon in different capacities including Assistant and Salon Supervisor. Licensed since 2002, she is third generation in the Beauty Industry. Her specialties include cut and coloring techniques on thick, coarse and/or curly hair and also enjoys working on medium to long hair. Chrissy is certified by SO.CAP.USA Hair Extensions and also trained with the KERATIN COMPLEX by Coppola also offers facial waxing. She attends many shows and seminars to offer her clients the latest trends in color and design.

Julia

Julia is a creative highly motivated stylist, she has offered her services at our salon since 1996. Her clientele appreciates her friendly, outgoing personality. Julia enjoys working on curly hair, formal long hair styling, men's trendy cuts and color blending. She is highly trained in the latest hair coloring techniques, primarily foiling and dimensional coloring. Julia stays current with the latest in hair styling by attending many shows and seminars including the KERATIN COMPLEX smoothing system by Coppola.

Maria

Maria is a service oriented, talented stylist with over 20 years experience, she has been offering her services at International Hair Designs since 1999. She specializes in Special Occasion styling and her Bridal Styles are stunning, she enjoys creating classic or trendy looks as well as perming and creative hair color. She received advanced training with Redken, Goldwell and Keune. Maria attends many hands-on workshops and seminars to keep her technical skills current.

Mare

Mare is a very talented experienced stylist, before she came to our salon, she worked at a top salon in down town Chicago for over 20 years, her specialty is advanced hair coloring, corrective coloring and highlighting and enjoys up to date hair cutting and styling for men and women. Mare is highly skilled on fine or curly hair, an expert at dry cutting and formal styling and attends many shows and seminars to keep her skills current, she is color certified by Goldwell. Mare loves her profession and gives her clientele great individualized service.

Leea

Leea is a talented, enthusiastic stylist licensed since 2005. She joined our staff in 2008 while also working as a student teacher at her Beauty School. She received advanced training with Redken and Goldwell. She particularly enjoys new color and foiling techniques and Special Occasion Styling. Leea is also trained with the KERATIN COMPLEX by Coppola and she continues to update her skills with our top in-salon educators as well as attending the Redken Hands-on Academy.

Level 1 - Stylists

Jen

Jen has been a licensed cosmetologist since 2003 and received intensive color training with Redken and other top educators in the industry. She is very dedicated to her profession and enjoys creating for her clients updated, beautiful looks to compliment their life style, her clientele appreciates her friendly, outgoing personality. She attends many shows and seminars to keep her skills current.

Marina

Licensed since 2006, Marina is a dedicated, customer oriented Stylist and is currently attending our Color & Design in-salon classes to update her skills. She has trained with HSA Advanced Education Program as well as with Redken and Paul Mitchell. Marina is not only a licensed Cosmetologist but also attended the Illinois Institute of Art. We are proud to welcome her to our team of highly skilled professionals!

DAY SPA TECHNICIANS

Irina - Esthetician

Irina has been offering her services at our salon for over 6 years, she is a highly qualified aesthetician with 16 years experience. Irina is certified by Bioelements and Dermalogica and regularly attends advanced skin care classes to keep her skills current. Her services include: Therapuetic Facials, Full Body Waxing, Brazilian Bikini Wax, 3-D Lash Extensions, i- Lash Perming, Lash and Brow Tinting, etc. Her clients appreciate her friendly, caring personality.

Nina - Nail Technician

Nina is a detail oriented nail technician with over 6 years experience. Nina is up to date in all phases of Nail Technology such as new trends in nail extensions, products, etc. She pays a lot of attention to her clients comfort as well as sanitation. She is continuing her education to better serve her clientele. Try Nina! Her excellent work and friendly personality will make your nail service a very pleasant experience.

Paola - Make Up Artist

Paola is available for weddings and special occasions by appointment only.
